Happy Wednesday Babes! Even though I’ve been blogging for the past five years, I’m a pretty private “public” person, so I thought it would be fun to share some fun facts you may not know about me…
- I love seeing the world, but I don’t like being in airports or planes!
- I met my husband at 17 and we’ve been together ever since.
- Â I love interior decorating and anything home-related.
- I had rabbits, three birds, lots of goldfish and a husky growing up. Our family husky is still kicking it at 13 years old!
- I was named after my grandfather (Stefan) and my middle name is my Grandmas. The two of them lived in our house and raised my sisters and I, so I always feel grateful I had 4 parents growing up! Lots of love.
- I am the youngest in my family and have big age gaps between my two older siblings (one is 7 years older and the other is 15 years older).
- IÂ hate roller coasters (terrifying) and amusement parks overwhelm me.
- Neal and I used to be wedding photographers while we were in university (true story).
- My husband got baptized two years ago and I got re-baptized with him (I was baptized as a baby in the Orthodox Faith). We attend a non-denominational church 🙂
- I love Mexico. The culture, the food, the place, the music, the dancing – I am obsessed with all things Mexico! Neal and I went on our first vacation there, and also honeymooned in Acapulco.
- My biggest pet peeve are people who can’t be happy for others.
- I went to a very multicultural school and my peers came from all different cultures and religions. I’m so grateful for that, and because of it I have no tolerance for racism, bigotry or hate. I want to raise my kids that same way, and follow the teachings of Jesus that we are to judge NO ONE, and love EVERYONE.
- I always struggled in math, luckily I married someone who is awesome at it 😉
- I was born on the same day as Halle Berry (August 14!)
- I never liked playing sports and don’t enjoy watching games — go figure! (my husband on the other hand is a fanatic…just wait until hockey season, LOL!)
- When I was little my mom would lay out my clothes for the next day of school and I would change it every morning (clearly I’ve always loved fashion).
- I’ve always wanted to travel to Israel and see the holy land.
- When I was 4 I swallowed a fish bone and had to be rushed to the hospital.
- I love organic, clean, healthy eating but I can easily be convinced into having a burger or pizza, lol!
- I am a really big believer in naturopathy. I believe in medicine as well, but it has to be serious for me to take prescription meds. I’ll always try to go the natural route first (i.e. for a headache, cold etc.) and pills are usually my last resort.
- I was obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer growing up, even though I hated horror films, for some reason the vamps never scared me, lol! I even made my own vampire stake (…weirdo).
- I have too many cousins to count! My family is big!
- I pray all the time and everywhere (in the shower, in the car, in the park etc.). I love talking to God, it calms me and I’ve seen a lot of power in it. I just close my eyes and talk. Jesus is my best friend 🙂
- I would rather give gifts and celebrate others, rather than receive gifts and be celebrated. I get so awkward! Giving makes me so happy though 🙂
- I hope to live on a farm one day with a big family, all kinds of animals and a mini church in my backyard (like Dolly Parton!), haha.
Hope you all enjoyed getting to know me a little better, I’d love to hear some facts about you! Feel free to answer whatever you like in the comments below (fears, pet peeves, what you love etc.) XOXO

I love getting to know you better, Steph! I love eating healthy too but my body sometimes “asks for” chocolate or French fries 😉
Girl, I feel you!!!

It’s pretty crazy! 🙂 Thank you!!
Love these type of posts – thanks for sharing!! I’m the same with pills, I’d rather avoid them if possible, but will take them if necessary. And I loved watching Buffy when I was younger too! My sister and I never missed an episode…she LOVED Spike lol 😉
Ahaha yes! Spike & Xander were my faves 🙂
This is super cute and a great way to find out more about you 💖
Thanks Niki 🙂 glad you enjoyed this post!
It’s refreshing to see so much transparency around your faith! â¤ï¸ï¸ Two weirdo things about me…1. I’m OCD so naturally my PB&J’s have to be peanut butter first & jelly layered on top- equally as thick. It won’t taste right if it’s made any other way! Lol & 2. I put empty egg shells back in the carton. My husband can’t stand it! ðŸ’ðŸ¼
Thanks Megan! That is hilarious, I feel like I understand the PB&J, it has to be equal or its too much of one taste and not the other! haha
Omg! Love this post! 🙂
Your pet peeve, amen to that!!!
