I turned 31 over the weekend and not too long ago I read this on an Instagram post, “you are currently living at least one of the prayers you used to pray.” This is most certainly true, celebrating my birthday with my sweet Grace this year. I couldn’t be more grateful to have this precious gift. She felt like a “someday” last year on my 30th birthday, and even though I wasn’t sure about the future, I trusted the Lord with whatever He had planned. Truly trusting Him and fully surrendering with peace for the first time. A month later He breathed life into my womb with this sweet Selah. She ended up being the exact gift I needed to get me through some really tough stuff in months to come. She reminded me of God’s goodness and grace (exactly why we named her this). I love how present she keeps me no matter what’s happening in my life or this crazy world. Whether it’s while I nurse her or listening to her sweet sounds, that smile in the morning that lights up Neal and I or her warm body against mine in a cuddle – I am so grateful she is here and ours. It was the best birthday.

So if you’re praying, hoping and wishing (birthday or not) for something, I want to encourage you with this scripture… “Let me hear of Your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting You. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.” Psalm 143:8 and watch what God will do in your life…

We took some family photos the morning of my birthday on an actual camera *gasp* 🙂 We’ve been snapping iPhone pics and it was nice to have an excuse to dress up and capture this moment in time as a family…

The above photo of these two is literally my heart walking outside my body <3
