ALL IN A SUMMER’S DAY

It can be challenging to decide on an outfit during a heat wave, other than a bikini! I am less inspired to dress up during the day, knowing I will be hot or uncomfortable. These pieces are comfortable and useful to beat the heat outside, and the blasting A/C inside!

1. The Versatile Dress
Breezy, comfortable and stylish. I am in love. I have been searching for a classic black maxi dress, which has more a modest neckline, I find every maxi tank dress to be so low! I won’t have to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions while running my errands. I can see this going with gold jewelry, a nice tan and a hot red lip or mani/pedi. I gravitate towards classic pieces like this that are “basics” because so much can be done with them. I can take this from class, to photo-shoots, meeting with clients, date nights, the list goes on. NEED!

2. Strawberry & Basil Water
I have been introducing fruits into my water to add some flavour, and I can’t help but think about how much it reminds me of “spa water.” You know when they have those beautiful water dispensers set up in the rooms, filled with all the beautiful fruits, those are yum! Speaking with a friend reminded me to get going on doing this again. Plus anything with Basil in it, is a hit, let’s be honest!
3. Lightweight Scarf
I find it extra challenging when deciding what to wear in the morning, as right now any place you go in to has the A/C through the roof. Straight up IGLOO. Then you step outside, and you are melting. I suggest you dress summery, but bring a lightweight scarf to wrap around your shoulders if you feel chilly. Tie it around your purse once you get outside, and it adds another cute accessory without having to carry it around.

4. Neutral Nails
I have easily become obsessed with FACE Stockholm. Their pigments and formula are incredible. I first picked up my go-to pedi colour for the summer, “neon sunset” at J.Crew & fell in love with this brand. I think a nice neutral mani/pedi is due, I need a little break from all the brights that we’ve been over stimulated with in the fashion world.

5. Bold Lip
Some nights in the summer, you just have to bust out a bright lip. It looks sexy and sophisticated. I particularly prefer bright colours when I am a bit more tanned, as I feel it compliments my skin tone more. I just love the name of this shade too, “french martini” it just makes you want to put it on your lips tonight!

6. The Shopper
I love a bag that can be used on the weekend to fit all your essentials, but also can be used for a work day. Pop a bikini, sun block, books, wallet, cosmetic pouch in there and so much more.

7. Panama Hat
Protect your head from the heat, block the sun out of your eyes and look totally chic. I loveeeee panama hats, I made the poor decision of going in the ocean with mine in Mexico. I am on the market for a new one and I just adore this one from the J.Crew!
