One of our goals last year, continuing into 2017 was to explore Canada more! We always look outside of our borders, but within them consists of so much beauty. We did a little road trip in a crazy snow storm back in December to get outside and enjoy our beautiful country. Lonely Planet named Canada the #1 place to travel this year (it’s our 150th birthday) and there is so much beauty to see. We did a quick getaway to Prince Edward County, and then ventured up to Ottawa and Montreal to extend our trip. Along the way we stayed at this beauty called the Drake Devonshire Inn. We frequent The Drake Hotel in the city often, but never had the chance to get out to Drake on the Lake. The winter backdrop felt like the perfect time to stay in a cozy cabin overlooking Lake Ontario.

Taking in the frozen lake – I’d love to come back in the summer and enjoy sunsets on this porch with a signature Drake cocktail!
