I am that girl once the beginning of September arrives I already go into storage and start pulling out my pumpkins! I love this time of year because I think it just brings up a lot of cozy feelings and vibes. We celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada in October, so it always feels right to start bringing in those cozy elements and enjoying it for longer, because the day after Halloween I like to put up my Christmas decor (I’m that person, let me have my little slice of joy please). I’m excited to warm up our space again with natural textures and creating corners to cuddle up in with blankets, throw pillows and a cup of something warm! Here are a few easy ways to start adding some fall decor to your home…

Shop the look: Tiered Tray // Pampas Grass // Architectural Digest Coffee Table Book // Frame // Pumpkin // Ceramic Objects + Candle Sticks // Pillow // Decorative Beads // Mugs // Doormat // Candle // Vase // Olive Branch

Here are my styling tips and products you can use to transition your home from summer to fall decor seamlessly…

Tiered Tray

I love this tiered tray on the kitchen counter because you can style it in so many ways! You can use it to create a little coffee station, add pumpkins, store fun little things on or use it for entertaining purposes. I turn mine into a hot chocolate station with jars of marshmallows, chocolates etc. come winter (see how I did that here). I like investing in decor that I can use for different seasons and in many different ways!

Natural Textures

Add elements of dried wheat, pampas grass or faux olive branches to bring a bit of the outdoors inside and feel more like autumn! It definitely adds a cozy feel to our place and creates a seasonal vibe.

Warm Up Your Space

You can easily transition your home style for the season by adding pillows or throw blankets that feel/look more cozy, change up the colour scheme easily and warm up your home!

Switch Out Your Doormat

Another easy thing to do, especially if you have a home (not a condo like me, haha) is to put out a seasonal doormat! This pumpkin one is so fun and than you can replace it with a more holiday-themed one come December!
