When traveling, I cannot express the importance of packing a really good beauty bag and skin regime. Travel affects my skin in so many ways (hydration is a huge issue), from the dehydrating plane rides, to the sun exposure and after sun care, its important you’re ready for everything! I don’t pack too much makeup with me when I travel to hot climates, I like to get a tan on my face and let my skin breathe, soak in the salt water etc. If I do bring some with me however, I always make sure the products help accentuate my after sun glow rather than cover everything up. See more of my getaway glam must-haves below…
Living Proof Humidity Shield Spray, $14
I first tried this humidity shield spray while in Palm Springs last June (perfect time to test it out if any, the humidity there is nuts!) and I was so impressed. I knew I had to bring this along with me to Mexico on my honeymoon. My hair gets super frizzy out in the heat, especially when I let it air dry, so this was perfect for smoothing any fly aways down.
Bumble and Bumble Surf Infusion, $20
As I mentioned above, I like to let my hair air dry while on vacation for a laid back vibe. I naturally have waves in my hair, so to make it extra beachy (like the wind, salt and water create this combo), I love the Bumble and Bumble Surf Infusion spray. It gives my hair that texture I want and makes styling long locks super easy while on vacation.
Vichy Thermal Water Spray, $9.50
Another fave of mine is the Vichy Thermal Water Facial Spray. I use this on the plane when I need a little pick me up, as well as while I’m out in the sun and need a refresher on my face. Love this stuff!
Charlotte Tilbury Super Model Body, $65
After a day of sun and you’re feeling your new glow, I love to play it up with Charlotte Tilbury’s “Super Model Body” lotion. I apply this roller ball to my shoulders and collar bone to give my skin some shimmer for dinner. It just makes you feel like Gisele, even if just for a few hours *wink*
Topshop beach coverup + Victoria’s Secret Swimsuit (sold out, similar here) + Sunnies
Marc Jacobs Lipstick in “Sonic Truth”, $38
My go-to (always) but especially on vacation is a nude lip. I think a bronzed glow and a nude lip is the most gorgeous combo. This one is my fave!
Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Coco, $49
Whenever I want to smell like a vacation, I spray some Vanille Coco on! My husband loves this scent because it’s so sweet.
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, $25
Another fave of mine (that smells like a dream by the way!) – I use this exactly where the name of the product tells you to (ha!). I just love this for keeping hydrated and firming up my skin in areas that will be more exposed while wearing a swimsuit. Keep the booty tight!
Sun Bum Sunscreen, $20
I love this line because it’s one of the cleanest in terms of ingredients when it comes to sunscreen. I’ve tried a lot of “natural, vegan, cruelty free” sunscreens from the health food store and I always still burn, this has all of those benefits (including no parabens) and actually protects against the skin!
Supergoop Acai Lip Fusion SPF 30, $9.50
My lips get burned out in the sun, and I’ve learned the importance of having a good lip balm with SPF on hand! This one did a great job in the heat wave in Acapulco.
Maestro Glow Giorgio Armani, $64
I love adding a bit of this to my foundation to warm up my skin tone and match the rest of the colour on my body. It adds a nice glow to your foundation or tinted moisturizer that’s perfect for summer!

When I travel I ususally take my beauty basics and leave a lot of stuff behind. Especially when I’m travelling by plane. Since there are many things I can’t carry with me I usually fear they are going to be ruined (luggage is often left under the sun in summer before they take it into the plane and that’s not good for beauty products). I wish I could take the whole beauty bag with me!
