Greece was one of the most magical trips I’ve ever had, so I knew I had to dedicate a few posts to our travels from this beautiful place on earth. Visiting Santorini has always been a dream of mine, and so when I was physically there, I kept having to pinch myself. Breathtaking views, delicious food, great people, and the gorgeous sunset was like none other. Neal and I were extremely thankful to travel with our two best friends Anna and Kosta – who are also Greek – which made the trip even sweeter! You’ll notice a bunch of Anna’s beautiful photography below too. Come away with me on the first leg of our Greece trip to Santorini….
We stayed at the beautiful Anteliz Suites in Fira, Santorini (using booking.com to reserve, I love this site!). It was one of the most incredible accommodations — from our own private pools we could step out onto our patio, to the hospitality and staff, we were blown away. The owner’s son Anthony even helped Neal plan our special proposal (read our story here). They went over and beyond to accommodate us during our stay and it was just the perfect way to see and experience Santorini. The private pool was the perfect way to cool off from the heat in the middle of the day. I’d recommend waking up early to explore the town, hit the pool and relax during the middle of the day (the hottest time) and then catch the sunset or grab dinner later in the evening. Room service was our best friend!

Breakfast on our patios overlooking the infinity pool and the most amazing view.
Hotel “Lobby” — complete with white and blue hues and another gorgeous pool.
Breakfast in my comfy “good morning” sweater outside of our room.
Doorway to heaven!
Frappe’s and gelato were our favourite ways to cool down. Check out Lolita’s in Oia!

We took a 20 minute bus ride out to see the sunset in Oia. It was one of the most incredible experiences! We lined up an hour prior to the sun setting just to get a good view, as you can see people crowd all along just to get a glance. Once the sun sets everyone applauds – I still have goosebumps thinking about it! I’ll never forget that beautiful sight, photos don’t do it justice.
Stopping to talk to all the cats and dogs along the way. Sharing some gelato with this little guy.

One of the craziest things I have ever done: a fish pedicure at the “KissingFish” spa. These pedicures are all over Santorini and I dared myself to do it. It was ticklish and surprisingly felt amazing after. Sometimes when you’re on vacation you have to try something a little out there!
Sweet little donkeys…
One of my favourite dresses for watching the sunsets in Fira. Full outfit post here for details.
The best part about Santorini? Getting engaged on a church rooftop. I don’t think anything will ever top that. It was so perfect.

Hi Steph! Congrats and beautiful photos. My fiancé and I are planning to go to Santorini and Mykonos for one of our honeymoon stops. Just wondering if you had any tips on where to get good deals for flights there and any resort recommendations?
Thanks!
Thanks!! We used booking.com which was amazing to reserve your hotel months in advance and you can cancel at anytime without any penalty. Super easy! I would also look into Air BNB. We loved Anteliz Suites in Santorini – incredible view and service. xo
My family is traveling to greece this summer, in about a month! How did you guys get around in Santorini
Amazing! So fun! You walk everywhere in Santorini 🙂 if you are staying in Fira, there is a bus that comes every 20 mins to take you over to Oia! Enjoy, it’s gorgeous!
