Maybe I’ve been watching too many of those Hallmark channel Christmas movies, but I felt like this year we needed some festive decor in our bedroom! It’s made it so cozy in there, and we love it. We usually watch movies or our favourite shows from bed (This is Us), so we just plug in the pre-it garland and pop the corn, and we have a cozy night in. It adds this beautiful ambiance and since we love hanging out in bed a little longer during the holidays when the days become slower and lazier between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, we thought it needed a sprinkle of decor. We didn’t go crazy, and honestly there were just a few simple things we did that made a huge difference and made it feel extra spirited…
Tufted Head Board // Duvet Cover // Faux Fur Pillows // Merry Christmas Pillow // Chunky Knit Blanket
Pillows are my favourite way to update a space in an inexpensive way, but can totally transform the vibe of the room. I got these faux fur pillows a while ago and then added in this pillow from Pier 1 that says Merry Christmas. Our bedroom is very neutral (grey, black and white) so I found pillows to match that colour scheme as well. Bring in a chunky knit blanket and you have a comfortable, warm place to relax while it snows outside.
I picked up this pre-lit garland at Home Depot (shared some of my shopping adventures in the first Vlogmas video) and it was the perfect size to place over our headboard! Above our headboard I placed this Hearth & Hand by Magnolia for Target wreath I got last year (similar here and here). You can hang these with a command hook to not damage your wall or frames. We have our personal wedding photographs only in our bedroom, which I still love in that spot (I always get asked about the frames so linking them here).
Green Ombre Bottlebrush Tree Decorative Accents (BOGO sale) // Neal’s Read: Capital Gaines by Chip Gaines // Plaid MugÂ
Our side tables have a touch of decor, these cute trees on Neal’s bedside and this LED church I got a few years ago from Nordstrom on my side (similar here as well on BOGO).
LED Church // Diptyque Candle // Gratitude Journal: Five Minute Journal
We even have a little mini pillow for our baby snowflake (aka Lucy Jolly) on her floor pillows (I got made from this Etsy shop). I also love these floor pillows from Urban Outfitters.
Stay tuned for more holiday decor posts coming soon! xoxo
