Coffee Table // Plaid Throw Blanket // Christmas Tree // Ornaments

I’ve missed holiday home tours these last two years, with everything happening in the world and the leak in our condo before 2020 began *simpler times* we kept it pretty minimal. This year, we have a baby! While Grace is only 6 months, we wanted to decorate and make it special and cozy. We have a small space and now one more addition to the home, he he, so needless to say we had to downsize our tree and keep things simple. We have a lot of baby stuff all over, so we didn’t want to clutter the home with too much. If you have an apartment or condo, hopefully this offers some tips!

First up, our tree! We had to move Neal’s office desk out of “cloffice” which has since become the baby’s nursery and therefore ended up losing the corner we usually had for our tree. We had no idea where to put it, so instead we got a small one to put in the corner behind our couch and it cozied up our living space so nicely!! It was under $100 and we honestly prefer it now. It’s tucked away and doesn’t take up any space we could be using for ourselves or baby and adds the most perfect twinkle in our living room space (especially at night). We wanted traditional red this year, something about red and plaid just makes it feels extra nostalgic. I found the tartan ornaments at Canadian Tire (similar linked here).

I’ve had this plaid blanket since we got married from William Sonoma that I bring out every Christmas, and the faux fur pillows are new from Costco (they’re seriously sooo soft). I added some fresh red roses from Costco as well for a chic, festive touch.

Our gingerbread house tradition we get custom made every year got a huge upgrade this year by adding our little Gracie!! More than anything we could have dreamed up, that girl. We had a local baker we love bees.party.box on Insta make it for us (along with the cookies at the very bottom of this post).

Our shelfie where we hang stockings each year (we moved Lucy’s by her crate now, he he) and a tiny little Christmas tree just for Gracie to decorate each year *watery eyes*

I got this LED pre-lit mini tree from Amazon and then added some older ornaments I had that were pink and girly, along with new keepsakes like this one with her name and birth! It’s from a local Etsy shop 🙂

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and Christmas! Wishing you a peaceful, healthy and relaxing time. xoxo
