This weekend we took a three hour trip up north to celebrate Neal’s birthday, get together with friends & reboot before a busy September. We consumed a large amount of campfire s’mores, kayaked, canoed & just acted like a bunch of Northern kids for a couple of days away from the city. One of the nights in an attempt to make a delicious Sangria, I realized we were missing a few key ingredients, so I mixed the wine up with some things the boys had brought along, which then became what I called the “Mangria” because it was really….strong, to say the least! Next time, we’ll just stick to wine & juice in our sangrias, no experimenting! Haha. I am so grateful for the time of rest, but have never been more ready to take on this month. There is something about September that feels like a renewal, I have always felt this month to mark my definition of a “new year” because it always feels like a fresh start. Cheers to a new month & many new beginnings…
