Racism needs to be condemned. Have you seen this on your feed lately? Good. Being married to a person of colour I have seen up close how alive it is, but this isn’t about being married to someone of a different skin tone, because even if I wasn’t, this horrific evil would still enrage me. Anti-black racism persists, it’s violent and it is evil. It needs to be condemned and justice needs to be served. We are all made in the image of God. If you have an account with just 1 follower, you have influence. Use your voice. Use the BREATH in your lungs you get to have, as others much less privileged and fortunate than you cry out for air. Check your family and friends who make racist comments. Get people around you that don’t look like you. This isn’t something that just exists in America, it’s everywhere. Behind those smiles was still a lot of healing and hurt taking place. This was October of last year in Spain & I found it really hard to “show up” especially online while we were going through such a tough year but have learned that I can take what’s holding me back from showing up, as a way to show up! Being transparent and sharing our stories, struggles and life on @jollyeverafterpodcast has connected me so much more to you guys. Any healthy relationship comes with conflict & over the years how we’ve dealt with it (dating as teens, then into our 20’s and later this year we’ll be entering our 30’s) has definitely changed and evolved (thankfully for the better)! Today’s @jollyeverafterpodcast episode is all about how we deal with conflict in our marriage (spilling some tea and what our weak spots are 😜). Neal and I have lived and worked with each other from home for years but for some in this quarantine all this newfound time and shared space 24/7 can be a pressure cooker. We’re hoping today’s episode can offer some tips for communication and help you come to resolutions quicker 🥴😉 while cultivating more grace in your relationship.
