The to-do list for baby can be overwhelming, in particular shopping for items you’ll need to care for your newborn and beyond! Being a first time mom, I didn’t really know what I would need and the thought of starting a registry felt like a lot, I’m not going to lie. I had a little bit of background knowledge just from watching my sisters become moms years before me, friends and family (thankfully my cousin was pregnant at the same time as me and guided me with her list as well). It seems like there’s always some new baby product or must have item and it’s amazing how many things have been created to help the transition to motherhood become a little smoother, but it can be overwhelming. We wanted to register somewhere that had all of our needs (and wants), offered the styles we preferred and within budget.
Neal and I were able to pop into buybuy BABY a few months ago to speak to the amazing registry consultants in each department to answer more of our questions. We first started out online building our list (which is super easy), but we wanted to see a few things in store to scan as well (a fun experience for us as first-time parents). I love that each department has someone to help you with expertise knowledge, trained in those specific products and not just guessing on the floor. We got to test drive our stroller and get a little tutorial on how to use it before selecting it (we loved how easy this one was to click into the carseat, walk with our newborn in the bassinet and transition as baby gets older). It was such a relief to complete our registry and have trusted opinions and guidance from the experts which made us feel secure with our choices! We had such a great experience and I would highly recommend registering with buybuy BABY as they really are a one stop shop for everything. The range of items and price points are also incredible. During this time you can do curb-side pick up, order online to have it delivered to your home or shop in store (as they are an essential business).
For Neal and I personally, we really wanted the essentials (as we live in a small space) to limit clutter, but also added some fun things that sure are nice to have for convenience and ease. I hope you’ll find this post helpful as you create your registry and will share how I’m liking these items as we begin to use them with baby girl this summer on my Instagram (so be sure to follow me there for more)!
