Back in May I shared this post talking about a few lifestyle changes I’ve implemented to balance my hormones, boost my fertility and live a more non-toxic life. When it comes to skincare I think this is especially important and last year I purchased this natural deodorant and clarifying serum in hopes I’d find a good natural alternative. I was pleasantly surprised by the results and almost a year later and organic sharing on my social, Primally Pure reached out to see if I’d like to try a few more. I gave it a few months to really test out and see what I loved and today I’m going to share some with you! Primally Pure has kindly given me a discount code to share with my readers (JOLLY10 at checkout for 10% off) if anything intrigues you!
The active ingredient in common deodorants you can find at the drugstore or over the counter have aluminum, which has been linked to different diseases (breast cancer being one of them) and infertility issues (because of the toxins affecting hormones). Those two reasons alone were enough for me to start switching over a few years ago, but I had not found one that I absolutely LOVED. I definitely found good ones, but the Primally Pure Charcoal deodorant is my holy grail. I seriously haven’t used anything better than this! I also love the Lavender one.
This cleansing oil dissolves makeup, dirt and impurities without drying your skin out. If you have oily skin and are nervous about using an oil to cleanse your face, don’t be! This oil actually balances out oil production, so does the serum below I mention. Cool, right?
This oil is perfect for clarifying your complexion and keeping breakouts at bay. If you have congested pores, scars or uneven skin tone, I find this to be really nice. My fave is the turmeric which my skin responds really well to!
Another turmeric based product is the clarifying mask I love when my skin is congested. It’s also got honey which soothes and heals the skin and helps with inflammation. I usually get a breakout before my period starts and this mask helps detoxify my skin. It comes in a pretty glass jar too!
This dry shampoo is available for both dark and light hair and made with organic essential oils (so it smells great). It really freshens you up, while giving your hair volume and texture (perfect if you curled your hair and don’t want to wash it for a few days). A lot of dry shampoos contain many chemicals, so I feel confident using this and all of the products mentioned above for the reason that it’s clean and natural.
Let me know if you have any questions about these products in the comments below! Have you switched over to clean beauty? Why or why not?
