Today I’m excited to share some of Lucy’s favourite things, as well as how we puppy proofed our home in the past few months! If you’re thinking of getting a puppy or have one, I hope this post helps. Dogs add so much to your life – I love caring for animals, it brings me so much joy and I can’t wait to adopt more someday!

We changed up the whole layout of our living room (see the before here and after here) once we got Lucy to make it more cozy and comfortable. It also was great because our new couch blocked off any plugs and chords for our television, lamp etc. that she loved getting to. We wanted her to be able to still enjoy snuggling with us on the couch, so I found this pet bed you can put on your couch to protect it! It’s reversible and you can wash it, which is super handy! She loves curling up here and chewing her bone or just taking a snooze.

I find so many goodies for Lucy at Homesense (Canada, try Homegoods in USA). They have the cutest storage bins, clothes, toys and more. Love this cute bin for storing her dog food and keeping it fresh. I got a metal scooper from the dollar store to pour her food everyday!

MODERN DOG BOWL STAND WOODEN PET FEEDER: ETSY

Since Lucy’s dog bowls will always be out, they’re basically apart of our home decor, so we wanted something that went with the rest of our place! I found this modern wooden pet feeder on Etsy and it looks so chic in our kitchen!

NOTHING BUT LOVE PRINT: SS PRINT SHOP

I love these shelves we put above Lucy’s “doggy corner” in our kitchen above her dog food. We style them with cute prints and photos of her. This print is my favourite from the dog collection I launched in my own shop!

LEATHER DOG COLLAR: ETSY 

Love little pieces like this that can be customized for Lu Lu! She always gets asked about this collar and leash.

For storing all things Lucy: treats, grooming supplies, wipes, pee pads etc. we got these convenient utility carts from IKEA. Everything stays accessible and organized!

DOG TENT: ETSY

This cute little tent is such a nice piece of decor, but we really got it for Lucy to play in or enjoy her treats (like a peanut butter filled kong) because dogs love cave like nooks!

For treats, we usually give Lucy natural food that’s healthy for pups but if we do buy something packaged, we go for dehydrated chicken pieces or Greenies! She loves those little dental bones. We don’t give them to her everyday, but once in a while this is her “special treat.”

You don’t always have to shop in the “dog aisle” I found this cute basket to store all of Lucy’s toys in the kid’s section! Love the natural woven basket and clearly so does she, because she’s treated it like a chew toy sometimes haha!
