[ top & skirt: forever 21 // kelly green jeans: topshop // heels: mk // flats: tory burch ]

LOOK 1 // Peplum looks polished when paired with a pencil skirt, I went for a mix up
with “pleather.” It toughens up the feminine look of the top, with
the added texture and caged heels. I also think it would be great with a
J.Crew No.2 pencil skirt in double surge wool, for something bright & warm.

LOOK 2 // Same idea as the first look, but with the pant “pleather version.” Cigarette pants
or tights let the peplum of the top really take centre stage, and flatters your figure. I forgot my
coat at home when shooting this, but what I wanted to add to this outfit was a bright
red coat with gold hardware over my shoulders, to add a little something to
the basic black and white of this look, seen previously here, which I got from VS.

LOOK 3 // I added some colour with green denim, easily paired with your choice of
flats. I’d go nude or black when wearing colour to tone the rest down. You don’t want to
wear too many trends at once! Keep the rest basic for your focal piece to stand out.
