I love the look of gifts wrapped in kraft paper, it gives it a rustic feel and the best part is you can ‘chic’ it up! I especially love taking a clean canvas like kraft paper and creating unique wraps for each person. I got my kraft paper roll from Staples.
2. GREENERY // CAPTURED OUTSIDE OR FROM THE MARKET
Utilize elements of nature, like rosemary, or evergreen leaves from right outside your house (if you live in Canada, this will be easy for you to find!). Tuck these under some twine for an effortless, thoughtful touch.
3. GOLD & WHITE DOILIES // DOLLAR STORE
Doilies are also cheap, and lovely pieces that you can wrap over the kraft and secure with ribbon or twine. You can get them at your local craft, or dollar store!
4. POM POMS // DOLLAR STORE
Another dollar store goodie! Pom Pom’s! You can glue gun these all over the kraft paper wrapped box, for a 3D Polka dot effect. This would be awesome for a child’s gift, it’s sure to make a statement!
5. BAKER’S TWINE // ANTHROPOLOGIE
Colourful twine is great if you want to just wrap a thin, quirky bow around your gift. Simple and effective.
6. PARCEL GIFT TAGS // INKKIT ON ETSY
Parcel tags are a great way to personalize your gifts. The black will look great against the kraft paper, and you can label the recipients name in chalk! Adding a more unique touch. Loop your twine through the hole and place in the front of your gift, so it gets noticed.
7. WASHI TAPE // ETSY
Washi tape is by far my favourite thing to use for packaging, agendas etc. Instead of using clear tape, add a finishing touch in cute colours or prints. I have a soft spot for gold dots!
8. BASIC TWINE // DOLLAR STORE
Good old regular twine is easy to find, and lends a rustic look and feel to your gift. Twine is sold at various dollar stores, craft supply or home depots.
9. IVORY LACE TRIM // ETSY
Finally, my favourite trimming to a brown kraft wrap. Ivory lace! The two colours go together so warmly, for an elegant appearance. Perfect for the ladies in your life!
