Last month, my mom & I took a little girl’s trip to escape winter and get some sun. I’m getting married this year and I thought what better time to get away with my mama and just have some bonding time together? For those of you who don’t know, she’s also my “mom-ager” (I’ve got a Kris Jenner of my own, haha), and works so hard and does so much for me! I wanted to treat her to a little getaway where we could just relax and laugh. We wanted something quick and easy so we decided to go to the Dominican Republic (only about a 4-hour flight from Toronto) and stay at an all-inclusive. The Level at Melia Caribe caught our eye right away — from the beautiful beach to the resort’s vibe.
For 7 days we swam in the ocean, rented a little cabana bed on the beach to nap, ate an abundance of lobster, ordered our favourite drinks (Blue Level, Dirty Monkey, Mimosas and of course, Pina Coladas). We also treated ourselves to a little spa day at YHI on the resort and also relaxed in our in-room jacuzzi which was a nice treat at the end of each day. We didn’t do much else other than soak up the sun, but if you have any questions about this resort please let me know in the comments below! So good! VIBES all around. XO
This looks like it was an immensely relaxing (and sun-filled!) trip! Glad you had a good time.

Because of all your photos and because I love your recommendations I am taking my mom to this exact resort next month! 🙂 I am glad you enjoyed it. Anything you think would be helpful to know ahead of time? You say you rented a cabana, I assume you do that there? We are staying in the adults only section, which I think is the same section you stayed in! Any additional tips would be so greatly appreciated to ensure I take my mom on a wonderful getaway!
Thanks love, 🙂
Hi Kimberly! That is so sweet 🙂 I hope you have an awesome experience like we did! The Cabana was about $60 USD to rent for the full day, but we found it to be worth it to splurge at least one of the days since we didn’t do any excursions and such. It was a nice little treat. We loved the Thai restaurant!! Definitely check it out while you’re there! HAVE FUN! XO
Thank you! You are so sweet, and I adore your blog/instagram/snapchat! Enjoy your day and god bless! 🙂
These mood-boards are giving me serious vacation vibes. Glad you had a good time! xx

Good for you. Bet mom is so happy with such a blessed girl. Looks like you two had a great time there. xo
LEVEL looks really stunning! I actually stayed at a hotel a few miles down from this one and when we passed it I took note. It looks so modern and elegant. I will definitely have to check this place out if I head back to DR in the future.
