Where we stayed: Turks & Caicos is definitely a luxury island, so in order to not blow all of our travel budget for the year in one place, we decided to stay at their only all-inclusive resort, Beaches. It’s a huge resort, with 21 restaurants and very family friendly (you’ll be lunching with Elmo, haha) so to escape we would walk along Grace Bay to the Gansevoort to enjoy the quiet beach (adult-only), and it’s a lovely place to sit and enjoy some lunch! If you’re looking into honeymooning spots, I would splurge on COMO Parrot Cay or Amanyara Villas – both are absolutely gorgeous! Again, a huge splurge, but totally worth it.
What we did: The purpose of this trip, unlike many of our other work travels was to just soak in the sun and relax, which we got plenty of! One of the things I wanted to do right when we got to the island was book a horse ride on the beach, but they were all filled up (amateur mistake) so before you go be sure to look into any excursions that need pre-booking on-line! We loved Grace Bay – easily one of the clearest waters I’ve ever swam in, so we spent a lot of time being fish in the sea, sipping coconut water and taking long walks on the beach. So many of my followers on Instagram wrote me to go and visit Potcake Place K-9 Rescue (because #crazydoglady) and my heart melted into a million pieces! They rescue abused and abandoned dogs on the island and get them into loving homes to people all over the world who are visiting! I almost took one (or 12) home! If you’re visiting the island and missing your pup at home, you can take one of their dogs for a walk to the beach for the day. Talk about a dream trip: the beach and cute puppies.
This cutie was found under a truck which broke my heart. Look at that sweet face!!

Stephanie and Neil, This video is absolutely gorgeous and so well done! My favorite part has to be around 1:14 when the beat drops and you plunge into the water…magic!! At the end where your sarong is flowing in the wind is such a beautiful shot too! You and Neil are the absolute cutest! So glad you got some fun in the sun. Can’t wait to plan a trip to this beautiful island. Thanks for sharing your tips and beautiful photos.
xoxo Ashley
