We just had a long weekend for Victoria Day in Canada, and while most people flee to cottage country,
Neal and I just enjoyed the city all to ourselves. In the end we got a lot of work and play done. We visited the Allan
Gardens Greenhouse & Conservatory, drank delicious coffee at Fika, vintage shopped in Kensington Market,

ate at our favourite Mexican spot and sipped cocktails at HMP.

[ I’m one of those people who won’t stop wearing white after Labor Day ]

I just can’t quit white denim with chunky white sweaters or winter white coats. This is one of my go-to looks on the weekend. Every girl should have a denim jacket she can throw on over a dress or tee, J.Crew is a great place to invest in a good one that will last over the years. These slip-on shoes are another one of my weekend style must haves, they’re easy and comfy but also look sleek. I can’t wait to pair them with leather jackets and pants when the weather starts getting cooler. My weekends are pretty low key, Neal and I love to eat, so we love going on food crawls and discovering new places. I typically work some weekends, but try not to at all on my Sundays and reserving that day for rest. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know my obsession with flowers runs as deep as the ocean. Something I look forward to every weekend after church is visiting the flower market to pick up fresh blooms for the week. Flowers brighten up my space and my day, and I just love having them on my work desk and waking up to them on my bedside table. I hope you all had a beautiful Labor Day Weekend and to keep the momentum going, I’m sharing more of my weekend traditions below…

Thanks for reading! XO

  1. I know I always say this, but this time I think I mean it the most – This is one of my favorite looks of yours! I love me some white denim and chunky knits too πŸ™‚ You are definitely a girl after my own heart, always have been. You are a beauty. Hope your Sunday was well spent with Mr. Jolly. Give him a big squeeze for me! XOXO

  2. I love this outfit! And the rings + roses are just beautiful! I too like to wear white after Labour Day, In fact I think it looks a million times better when paired with the crisp and sparkling snow in the wintertime than just something that you wear in the daytime with a worn-in graphic tee or crop top in the summer time.
