Entering Holy Week, I am reminded (especially in these uncertain, dark times we are living through in our world), things can change. When you hope and look to the capable hands of Jesus, He sends peace. I have had a lot of peace during a time I wouldn’t expect myself to, but it’s because I have allowed myself to fully surrender and trust the Lord’s will. I am not in control and I am thankful I can trust that Jesus is the One who is and loves to bring redemption, healing, love and grace. This week is an example that the grave does not get the last word or hold us. What evil meant for our suffering, God can turn into something good – He always redeems. My friend Ann Voskamp posted something profound, “Don’t believe things can change? Just look at Palm Sunday to Good Friday to Resurrection Sunday. Always believe. Always keep hoping — things can change.”
I have to believe that in times like these, hope is on the horizon. Wait expectantly, because God is working in all of this, He works all things for the good of those who love Him and come to Him…
See How Your King Comes | John 12:13 (The Message)
12-15 The next day the huge crowd that had arrived for the Feast heard that Jesus was entering Jerusalem. They broke off palm branches and went out to meet him. And they cheered:
Hosanna!
Blessed is he who comes in God’s name!
Yes! The King of Israel!
Jesus got a young donkey and rode it, just as the Scripture has it:
No fear, Daughter Zion:
See how your king comes,
riding a donkey’s colt.
Happy Palm Sunday.
Peace and Grace,
Stephanie
