We’re all waiting for something. Waiting to meet our person, waiting for results, waiting for things to improve, waiting to hear back from a job interview, waiting in lines, waiting to start a family, waiting for the weather to get better, waiting for the time to pass and it goes on and on. When you’re waiting for something your heart longs for, it feels like a different type of impatience (then let’s say waiting for your coffee order). It can take months or years and in those days, our faith is tested, our trust is tested and our patience grows tired leaving us feeling hopeless at times. Whatever is on your heart, whatever you are waiting for, an anxiety can arise, but if we shift our trust and surrender, we can find peace in the waiting. There’s a peace that surpasses our understanding when we invite the Holy Spirit to strengthen us in those seasons. It’s all there to teach us something. Patience has never been my strong suit but it is something I’ve been more willing to allow God to sharpen me on. Many times I find God makes us wait so we can grow and it prepares us for what He has prepared for us. Have courage in your waiting, God will give you hope and strengthen you in ways you couldn’t possibly ever do for yourself. He always fulfills His promises and when you’re done waiting and receive your blessing you will see just how perfect His timing truly is. Have courage, you got this!

Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart, wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm 27:14
