WEEKLY EDIT NO.1

Since there is plenty that goes on in a week around here, I thought i’d share more behind-the-scenes of my life. A lot of you have left me comments on my Instagram & e-mailed me to share more newlywed life captures, so I thought I’d do my best to try and capture what I wore, what we did, and our week in a recap. I’ll try to do this every week, sometimes I get so busy I forget to snap things occurring, but I think it’s fun to share a little more into our lives (like the content you see on my snapchat)…

This weekend, Neal and I did something we hadn’t done since before we got engaged, and that was just wandering aimlessly in our city discovering new places. Of course, we went to old faves like Nadege for an afternoon pick me up. I just can’t resist their macarons! Also, this little cafe has the perfect view of Trinity Bellwoods Park where I can dog stalk. Yep – that’s real life friends. #CrazyDogLady

While we put finishing touches on #JollyAbode, we are looking for house plants to add more life to our condo. Crown Flora Studio x Greenhouse Juice Co. had a cute pop up with amazing goodies!

Carb loading on the weekend is my fave (I mean during the week too). Our go-to spot for quick, hot, delicious plate of pasta is Dimmi in Yorkville.

This past week (August 3), we celebrated our first month of marriage! We are such homebodies, so naturally, we just took a bottle of rose out on our patio to celebrate. I made Neal dinner, and we just relaxed out in on our favourite spot, looking through photos on our phone that our friends captured on our wedding day. I love this Topshop off-the-shoulder top! I have worn it a bunch of times, but I love it paired most with this white denim skirt. It’s perfect for date night with the hubs!

Saint Laurent Clutch

Neal and I (yes, hubby too!) love having fresh flowers in our place. We try to get a new bunch every week to put in our kitchen, bathroom, bedside tables etc. It just adds life and beauty to every space. It’s definitely a little luxurious treat, but we usually just pick up a cheap bunch at the grocery store.

I love summers in Toronto! The patios and restaurants come alive (and we have so many great spots to eat). Her Majesty’s Pleasure (a bar/nail and hair salon) has the cutest patio set up outside. It looks so inviting! Below is my feast with fellow blogger Jill from The August Diaries who recently moved to Toronto. We chowed down on this amazing Mexican food from Wilbur. It was everything. The heat that day however we brutal! Dare I say I am ready for fall?

My sister got us a Vitamix for my bridal shower and all I have to say is – THANK YOU SANDRA! We love using it for our morning smoothies. While Neal gets ready for work, I make him a hearty break and accompany it with our favourite protein shake. I love using Protein World’s banana flavour and mixing it with frozen mango, banana, pineapple and almond milk.

I have been searching far and wide for a simple, chic day planner and finally found one last week! I am obsessed with the layout, and it’s perfect for toting around with me to meetings.

Getting inspired even in menswear boutiques. How cute is this coffee bar set up!

Put a belt on it! Love how my Hermes belt changed up this dress and gave the more boxy fit a more flattering shape by synching me at the waist. Dress is by Ann Taylor (also seen in this blogpost).

Relaxing in this comfy Hotel Collection robe we got from our registry. It just makes you feel like you’re staying at a hotel, all cozy! I’m obsessed.

I love making Acai bowls — it’s one of my favourite dishes to make for breakfast. Another shot of my day planner and my favourite phone rose gold wrap case by FACE (who I am collaborating with later this year to design my own line of phone cases).
