While I haven’t given birth yet, I did do a little shopping now to get ahead of the season (and to not have to think about it while baby is here) for some outfits I’d like to wear this summer postpartum. For the first 40 days (especially with being in a lockdown where we live), we will just be home settling in and so I plan to just be in a lot of robes and comfies!

As we get into our groove, I’d like to get some snaps with my little newborn, as well as enjoy the weather outdoors, see family (finally) and celebrate some fun upcoming events like Neal and I’s 5th wedding anniversary (coming up in July) and a few birthdays (including my own throughout this summer). I’d like to have a few cute dresses and then some cozy lounge sets as well for when we are just at home or on evening family walks with the dog, pushing the stroller (which I’m so looking forward to). Here are some items I’ve ordered or think would be great for summer if you’ve just had a baby…

The pieces I’ve purchased for summer are really loose fitting dresses so I can be relaxed, as well as button down shirts and comfy t-shirts.

The first 40 days I’ll be wearing nursing bras, robes, pyjama dresses and just focusing on resting as well as nourishing baby and myself. I’ve been loving this book that has so many amazing recipes and healing, restoring tips for post-birth.

I love cute loungewear! Whether we are going on walks in the evening or just hanging around the house, these are comfy options that will still make you feel and look put together. I also love having slippers, a cozy memory foam pair and a nice pair of rubber slides for summer.

I got this pretty dress from Madewell as a treat to myself to wear for either our anniversary or my birthday this summer! Love their dresses this season!

Another staple I picked up were these cozy sweatshirts that look so cute with a pair of neutral biker shorts and your favourite sneakers! After the pool, the beach or on a summer evening walk, these are so cozy to warm up indoors with air conditioning on.

Loving these summer basics that are easy and breezy to wear as well…

More summer pjs that are nice to just lounge at home in while nursing that are lightweight and come in cute prints! The button down moonlight pajamas from Nordstrom are my ultimate!!
